Just back home a few days and I saw a question in my inbox from one of my subscribers.

What is The Fastest Way to Become Successful Online?

Get a mentor!
Studies have shown for years that it is insanely impossible for people to become successful unless they find the formula.
They have two ways to do that:
1. Do it the hard way.
Read a lot of books. Go through the whole painful trial and error process.
There’s a major problem with that – Internet Marketing changes quickly and broadly because of the networking capabilities. One minute, they’re all headed right, the next, they’ve wheeled and are heading left.
2. The best education you can find is through a mentor.
You need to find someone who has already been in the market place for a while. Learn from them, ask them to coach you, as well as follow their full guidance.
While a mentor can’t do your homework for you or teach you everything you need to know, you have the benefit of the experience and wisdom of someone who’s walked the walk you are beginning.
Which one is easier?
Of course, I would rather have someone to coach me, kick my butt and tell me to do this, this, and that.
To be true with you, I am the student of John Thornhill’s Masterclass at the moment though I am not a newbie. I would rather have someone to coach me than figuring everything on my own.
I strongly believe he will take my online business to the next level and you will see the rise of an average Joe, that is me!
You have a choice to either do things the hard way or the easier way. Do remember that regardless what you choose, your time is limited.

Hi Dan,
Good article, having a mentor in internet marketing is similar to serving an apprenticeship in any trade or profession.
You wouldn’t expect a bricklayer to buy some tools and suddenly be capable of building a house before learning his trade, or a surgeon to perform brain surgery while still at medical school.
Every job has a learning curve and IM is no different.
Regards,
Bill
Hi Dan,
It is easier seeking the guidance of an expert. However, there are so many self-proclaimed experts out there. It’s difficult to sift through all the hype. You must do research in order to find someone reputable.
You mentioned John Thornhill’s name in this post. He happens to have an excellent reputation in the IM world.
So, bravo to you Dan for recommending him to us.
Best regards,
George Nieves
Hi Dan, yes, a mentor is a great way to learn everything far more quickly, and there is always someone there to put you right too.
Enjoy the journey.

Hi Dan,
Great post! I agree totally. I tried to do it the ‘hard way’ by myself and suffered sever ‘information overload syndrome’.
Now I am doing it the ‘easy way’ because I am also a student of John Thornhill’s Masterclass. I have learnt so much in just 10 weeks and now I feel that I can achieve what I what to do.
You are doing a great job Dan, I am sure your dreams will come true.
Take Care.
